Man Wah puts its trust in SIRSA Construction



The Hong Kong company will invest 300 million dollars in two stages for a furniture manufacturing plant that will generate more than 8 thousand job opportunities.


Together with SIRSA Construcción, Man Wah announced the construction of its new Man Wah Holdings Mexico plant in the Hofusan Industrial Park, located at km 28 of the Carretera a Colombia highway, in Salinas Victoria, N.L.


Reynaldo Cárdenas García, President of SIRSA Construcción, Samuel García Sepúlveda, Constitutional Governor of the State of Nuevo León, Bill Chan, CEO of Man Wah Holdings Mexico, Iván Rivas Rodríguez, Secretary of Economy, César Santos Cantú, President of the Executive Committee of Hofusan Industrial Park, Raúl Cantú de la Garza, Municipal President of Salinas Victoria, and Federico Rojas Veloquio, Secretary of Labor, laid the first stone of this plant on the morning of Wednesday, August 10.


The ceremony took place in the presence of state and municipal officials, managers, workers from Man Wah Holdings and SIRSA Construcción, clients, suppliers, personnel from the Hofusan Industrial Park, as well as friends and family.

Before the guests, Reynaldo Cárdenas García thanked the directors of Man Wah for placing their trust in SIRSA Construcción to develop this work in quality, time and form.


"In Grupo FIMEX - TKP / SIRSA Construction we are committed to our society, to our clients in the public and private sectors, building works of excellent quality. With our government we are committed to support with solutions to solve current problems such as water or infrastructure issues," said the President of SIRSA Construction.


For his part, Bill Chan, informed that in the following year his company will be completing the investment of 200 million dollars. By the year 2024, it will add another 100 million dollars.


"Our project will generate more than 8 thousand job opportunities. I have faith that with the support of the Mexican government and everyone here, Man Wah will be a great success. We want to be the best example to attract more companies to invest and set up their plants in Nuevo Leon, promoting economic development and increasing employment," emphasized the CEO of Man Wah Holdings Mexico.


Samuel García Sepúlveda, Governor of the State, said that Nuevo León is fertile land, where every peso, every dollar that is invested, is multiplied and this can be seen in the many stories of successful companies.


He added that those who come to the State do not leave, on the contrary, they expand, but above all, its people fall in love with this city, this metropolis, its people, the food and the strong work culture.


"Here we find the most capable technical and professional personnel in the country, a quality-oriented work culture, the best treatment and a law-abiding government. For all these reasons we are convinced that Nuevo León is the best place to invest," concluded Iván Rivas Rodríguez, Secretary of Economy.

A world class construction company

Sustained growth expected

With its new plant in the state, it plans to develop reclining sofas, their components such as motors, foam and different mechanisms.


The investment in Nuevo León will be in two phases. In the first stage between 2022 - 2023, a total of 230 thousand M2 will be built, which will house 15 warehouses, 1 dormitory building, 1 office building, and 1 dining building.


For a second stage to be developed between 2024 - 2025, 12 warehouses will be built.


Man Wah Holdings was established in Hong Kong in 1992, has more than 2 thousand patented and self-developed products; it has sales networks in 100 countries, with 3 thousand points of sale and more than 11 thousand employees worldwide.
