This Tuesday, August 10, the directors of SIRSA Construction and MAN WAH met at the Hofusan Industrial Park in Salinas Victoria to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for the "MAN WAH" project. This is an important development as the collaboration between these two large companies will attract capital to the State and facilitate the creation of new jobs. SIRSA Construction will be the general contractor that will carry out this project in which 300 MDD will be invested in the State.
Present at the groundbreaking event were the President of SIRSA Construcción, Reynaldo Cárdenas García; the Governor of the State of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda; the State Secretary of Economy, Iván Rivas Rodríguez; Raúl Cantú de la Garza, Municipal President of Salinas Victoria; Bill Chan, CEO of MAN WAH Holdings Mexico; César Santos Cantú, President of the Executive Committee of Hofusan Industrial Park; and Federico Rojas Veloquio, Secretary of Labor. Also in attendance were customers, suppliers, family and friends of both companies.
After the groundbreaking ceremony, we had the opportunity to talk with Reynaldo Cárdenas, who, with great pride and satisfaction for the project, shared with us some more information about it. SIRSA Construcción, a company of Monterrey origin and part of the FIMEX-TKP group, will carry out the first stage of the "MAN WAH" project in an area of 230,000 mts2, which will house 15 warehouses, 1 dormitory building, 1 office building, and 1 dining building. The first stage will be completed in 2023, while the second stage is projected to be completed in 2025.
For SIRSA Construcción, this collaboration with MAN WAH will allow them to further strengthen and direct the company towards significant growth, positioning them in the infrastructure and construction market as a solid, reliable and international company.
On the other hand, the construction of this project will have a positive impact on the state's economy. The investment to carry it out will be approximately 300 MDD. Throughout both stages of construction, the labor required will be strong and numerous. It is estimated that MAN WAH will generate around 8,000 jobs. The Governor of the State, Samuel Garcia, spoke of this, celebrating the benefit it will represent for the inhabitants of Salinas Victoria.
